Belt Size & Fit Guide

Every SKIMP belt is cut to your exact size, so getting your measurement right means a perfect fit from day one. Here's how to find yours in two simple steps.

Method 1: Measure Your Waist

This is the most accurate method for a first-time purchase.

  1. Wrap a flexible tape measure around your body at the point where you wear your belt, usually just below your natural waist, around your hip bone.
  2. Keep the tape comfortably snug (not tight) and note the measurement in centimetres (cm).
  3. Enter this measurement as your belt size at checkout. We'll cut your belt to fit, with room to spare for adjustment between holes.

Tip: Measure over the type of trousers you usually wear your belt with, for the most realistic result.

Method 2: Measure an Existing Belt

Already have a belt that fits well? This is a quick and reliable alternative.

  1. Lay your belt flat on a surface.
  2. Measure from the tip of the buckle pin to the hole you use most.
  3. Use this measurement in centimetres as your belt size.

Tip: If you're between two measurements, round up slightly for a more comfortable fit.

  • Originale & printed belts: supplied as a 140cm (approx. 55") strap, 3.4-3.5cm wide, and cut to the length you specify. No fixed S/M/L sizing to worry about.
  • Charmeuse belts: our slim, feminine style, supplied as a 115cm (approx. 45") strap, 2.0cm wide, and cut to your measurement in the same way.
  • Buckles are interchangeable across our belts, so you can mix and match styles with the same size.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the maximum size I can order?

Originale and printed belts are cut from a 140cm (approx. 55") strap, and Charmeuse belts from a 115cm (approx. 45") strap, so these are the maximum lengths available for each style.

As a guide: a 140cm waist is roughly equivalent to UK size 28, US 3W/26-28, or men's 5XL/6XL depending on the brand. A 115cm waist is roughly equivalent to UK size 22-24, US size 18-20, or EU/FR size 50-52, depending on the brand's size chart.
